Fortify®

Fortify is the first alternative to housewraps and builder's felt that delivers optimum performance on all counts, at an economical cost. Fortify balances exceptional water resistance with optimum water vapor transmission to protect exterior walls from moisture intrusion. The product is six times more water resistant than other weather-resistive barriers, yet permeable enough to allow water vapor to escape from within the wall cavity. That proven performance is backed by more than five decades of use with stucco and other claddings. And, unlike felt, Fortify resists tearing away from fasteners. Its light weight and workability make it easy to install.

Better still, Fortify provides comparable protection from air infiltration to the leading housewrap. When installed in an air retarder fashion, with seams lapped and taped, using Fortifiber Sheathing Tape, Fortify blocks air movement through gaps in the wall assembly. Fortify is the only asphalt-saturated weather-resistive barrier tested to meet stringent ASTM requirements for air retarder systems.
